Attractive parkland course designed by the great James Braid who was Open Champion on five occasions and complimented by a modern new clubhouse and excellent facilities. Waterford is particularly renowned for the quality of its's greens and for it's friendly atmosphere. The first nine demands accuracy from the tee. The back nine is more forgiving and features a great stretch with a classic finishing hole. Here the drive is struck from an elevated tee, with a 360 degree view, to a narrow fairway which winds it's way downhill, between score threatening gorse, to a receptive green 400 yards away.
